Boycotting the Olympics

I don’t want to step on anybody’s toes, but I was not happy to see that the Olympics were going to be held in China. This has to do with human rights violations, their connections with Sudan, and how they’ve treated the Tibetans. The poor Dahli Llama who has done nothing but promote peace now lives in exile. Why pick on him? He’s always smiling. He even has a good sense of humor, which I have found truly lacking in our won government. I was annoyed that Bush gave a speech at the opening ceremonies. But what could Bush do? We owe China so much money that it would kill us if they insisted we immediately pay off the debt. Anyway, I boycotted the Olympics in my home. It’s not like a made impact since I’m the only one who lives here, but I tried to do my part. For what it was worth.

I’m not really supporting them (or watching them), for the issues you’ve mentioned, but do hope our Country does well.
