Negative Thoughts

I don’t know about you, but I have days when I think my life is crap.  Once I get started thinking about all the bad stuff in my life, that’s what I concentrate on.  So I have to reach for my trusty book titled, “You Can’t Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought,” by John-Roger and Peter McWilliams.  Somehow, this book helps me realize that my life is not really crap; it just feels that way because I’m looking for all that’s wrong instead of concentrating on what’s right.  Like having a dishwasher.  Some of you might be too young to remember what it was like washing and drying dishes by hand.  And what about the old-time washers where you put clothes through a wringer?  When I was a little girl, I accidentally caught my entire arm in a wringer.   I’m surprised I could even have children after that experience!   Once you go through something like that, even the worst days look good.

I’m a firm believer that negativity attracts more negativity and positive thoughts engender positive events.
